You are what you eat! Junk goes in, junk comes out!
Healthy hair growth is contributed to a balance diet. Here are some Hair Food Facts!

WHOLE GRAINS

Whole Grains make great hair food. It’s fortified with iron, zinc and vitamin B, and believe it or not, whole gain can also give you a boost of energy!

GREEN VEGETABLES (Dark)
Vegetables like spinach, broccoli provides an excellent source of iron, calcium, and vitamin A & C. We all need these vitamins to help produce sebum. Sebum is the oily substance secreted by your hair follicles. Jojoba Oil, which is actually a wax, mimics the body’s sebum.

FISH – Specifically Salmon, Halibut & Snapper
Who knew this great tasting fish would actually be good for the brain and the hair. Salmon is packed with Omega-3 fatty acids, which is an excellent source of protein and vitamin B-12. These vitamins support a healthy scalp and give hair a revived healthy appearance. Other foods containing omega 3 include flaxseed, tofu, scallops & squash. A deficiency in Omega 3 Fatty Acids contribute to the ailments with Depression, Diabetes, Eczema, Headaches, Psoriasis and as well as other ailments.


NUTS
Not just any nut, there are specific nuts that promote a health of your scalp. Almond, Brazil Nuts, Walnuts, and Pecans are filled with alpha-linolenic acid which is an Omega-3 Fatty Acid, and zinc.

Zinc is important to healthy hair growth. If the body is deficient in zinc it can lead to shedding. Other foods containing zinc are oysters, Alaskan Crabs, Beans, Yogurt, Chickpeas, Peas & Oatmeal.

BEANS
Beans are loaded with B Vitamins, Calcium, Potassium and Folate. They aid in the healthy development of brain and nerve cells, skin, disgestive system, strong teeth, reduces the risk of high blood pressure and protects the hear against heart disease. If you’re like me and struggle to eat beans, then I’ll make this easy for you. Eat Black Beans once per week. Its filled with protein and promotes stronger hair growth. They aren’t that bad – if you mix it with rice! Enjoy!

SMALL SERVINGS OF LOW FAT DAIRY

Low-fat dairy products include yogurt, skim milk, cottage cheese, and low fat cheese are great sources of calcium, and protein which in turn, is an important mineral for hair growth.

Finally, Raw Fruits and ALL Vegetables, Plenty of Water and a Good Nights Sleep!
